1. Luggage.
Packing light is a virtue. Off bike luggage should be under 40 lbs. You are responsible for getting your luggage on and off the van. Don't expect the sag driver to load and unload for you.

2. Don't race to the overnight motel and arrive hours ahead of the sag van. The van cannot leave the last sag change spot, usually 15-20 miles from the overnight motel, until the last rider has arrived at the changeover. That's so any exhausted riders can hop on the van. If you ride as hard and fast as you can you are missing the tour experience. P V is a great example of how to ride a tour. He is always on the lookout for something interesting, ready to stop and talk, take pictures, and sometimes even do a side trip not on the route. Stick with P. You won't regret it.
